Desperate Housewives

Many times I look at some marriages and wonder what in the world the women are thinking. I myself have been in abusive relationships and I am sure many were looking in on my situation asking “why doesn’t she just leave him?”  When I used to watch desperate housewives, I was shocked and even ashamed at hour far we women could go to get and keep a man.  Today I have to say my eyes have been open and i hope that as you read this yours will be too.
After the fall of man from grace in the Garden of Eden, God dished out the consequences of their disobedience.  He said to the woman that her desire would be for her husband and he will rule over her.  Initially God created the male to rule and have dominion over the earth, he also gave him a woman to do that with, his equal. But after what they did, things changed, now the woman would be running all over doing all manner of desperate things to get and keep her man, while her man would be running around trying to conquer and rule over all things including his woman who now was no longer his equal.
It is not once I have heard a man say with such force and even a hint of threat in his voice that “ I am a man” I am the man” it is also not once that a man has referred to me simply as “ woman!”  if you think back to a time you have heard this you will find that it is often used when the man is trying to put the woman his her place, trying to show his authority and make a statement. These words mostly come as a finality, a nothing further to discuss and I have decided kind of way.  The woman on the other had will find herself doing all manner of things to please her man because she cannot bear the thought of him leaving her.  He could be battering her ( trying to rule her) and she will stay because she loves him and does not want to lose him. What makes this sad is that it is true.
God loved us so much that he sent his only son to redeem and return us to our original status and his original plan. Men in Christ do not feel the need to rule over their woman, they understand that they have been given the power to rule and have dominion once again over all the earth. Women in Christ know that they are a gem, that they are a suitable helper for the man God has given them, that it is in spirit that we catch and keep a man and not in flesh or in works. It is therefore important that as men and women we first be redeemed in Christ Jesus to our original selves and status before we then enter into a marriage. This way there will be the original harmony and way of life that Adam and Eve had. Their marriage was heaven on earth. It was mutual, equal not a competition and not a series of desperate measures brought about by competing with his work, boys, and other women for your man.

Gym Selection before Marriage

They say that one loses weight automatically in the few months leading up to their wedding. This is attributed to the anxiety and the many preparations to be made before the big day. However, weight lose is not an indication of fitness and so exercising to keep fit and for optimum health should be embraced by the couple even before their marriage. Enrolling in a gym for working out is the most common and practical way of keeping fit. This is mostly due to convenience and also for accountability as starting a fitness regimen and sticking to it is usually a hurdle for most people. Gyms also offer expertise advice and training that will push the member to their goal, be it keeping fit or weight loss.

Getting Fit for the Wedding

The choice of gym to attend is dependent on one’s goals as outlined above and some gyms specialize in more of resistance training than others and so a careful choice must be made. As a first step, a list of all the expectations one requires in a gym should be made. This will help in narrowing down the choices and should be just as easy as making a list of expectations for the marriage’s future. Working out in a gym is also a great way to socialize and the bride and groom can start working out before they are married for bonding purposes. For this reason they must select a gym that will enable them to work out together both in terms of the facilities, accessibility and timing.

Most people prefer to work out either in the early morning or late evening, it is therefore important to check with the gym management if they will be open at the time that is most convenient for you. Once the couple is married, their time may not be as flexible and if necessary gym times may have to be adjusted. Find out from the gym if they make provisions for such changes. The gym staff has to be skilled and trained professionally for them to be of any help to the members. This will avoid accidents due to misguided instructions and in case of accidents they should be able to offer basic first aid without further injuring the member. The gym equipment should also be in good working condition at all times and available.

The cost of the gym membership is a crucial factor to consider for the wedding couple as they have important budgetary considerations for their life together. Find a gym that offers special rates for couples to counter any financial constraints against working out. Apart from the gym membership, the cost of travelling to and from the gym has to be considered so that the gym is as close as possible to either the home or the work place for convenience. Cleanliness is a must for a gym to be attractive and worth the membership fee so as to prevent unnecessary infections. Ultimately, the couple should consider investing in a home gym.

dating for married couples

Dating for married couples has been found to be very effective. Many experts on marriage will state that dating can be a marriage saver. Couples who actively go for date nights with their spouses will have the opportunity to get closer to each other, further cementing their union. However, to achieve successful date nights it is critical to have excellent ideas on the venue and what to do. Keeping it interesting and edgy can keep the fun going. Most people will not mind heading out with their spouses in a bid to get the most out of each other. The following are top aspects.

Food and wine will make a date night pleasurable for couples. It is not just any food or wine but that which is prepared with the clients in mind. Therefore, taking time to make reservations at an excellent venue will not hurt; it can only improve your relationship. There are numerous restaurants that serve awesome food and wine in style and this is what many must access. However, there are other ideas that couples can consider. For example, wine tasting workshops. These can be 3 day activities where wine tasting takes centre stage and couples get to share the experience.

Keep abreast with information on such events to keep your partner on edge. Couples can also decide to experiment with various foods and wines. Randomly choosing venues and have spontaneous fun while out on a date night. Wine and food will facilitate the formation of a stronger bond. However, it will boil down to the willingness of partners to make their relationships strong. This is to say that food and wine can be flawless and still fail to unite people in their marriages. Therefore, do not lose the focus which is to continually create an environment for the marriage to thrive.

Married With style

After marriage, many people will often get tempted to relax where fashion is concerned. However, studies have shown that married couples are constantly looking for ways to better themselves and keep up with new trends and fashion. Although some people never get rid of their styles from singlehood, there is a way that they can help enhance the look of a married man or woman. It is about creating the best out of their status and keeping young and lively. Therefore, getting married is not a license to be dull. The following are tops elements of fashion to consider.

First, couples need to be smart and presentable. Additionally, they should have a sexy edge to their attire. This is to keep their partner excited at all times. However, there is a thin line when it comes to pleasing a partner and the rest of the world. Therefore, fashion experts will advise married women especially to practice some reservation compared to when they were single with their outfits. This will help keep out unwanted attention which can often lead to marriage breakage. Keeping this in mind, a woman must feel attractive and choosing conservative yet elegant clothes will do.

Shapely dresses that flatter and reveal less skin are ideal for married couples. When it comes to men, most people will not change a thing but graduation to more presentable attire can help. Executive looks are common with married men and when it comes to casual, trendy and fashionable is a good deal.  Finding a balance between elegant for the married status and edgy to keep the spark alive in marriage is what many should be striving towards. Keep eyes open on new trends and be the judge depending on personal taste and preferences.  There are no rules and whatever makes a couple comfortable can work wonders for them.

Tips on Maintaining Good Health after Marriage

Good health gives vitality and health and this leads to success in the workplace, in relationships, and in other aspects of life. If you are a newlywed couple, you should not quit exercising just because you have found your soul mate. There are many ways to die, but people today tend to choose the same 4 ways every time. Suicidal lifestyles such as poor diet, lack of exercise, overindulgence in drugs, and obesity are the major killers today. To maintain a healthy body, you should stay hydrated. This is because much of our brain and body consist of water. Water is also important because it flushes out toxins and it assimilates nutrients from the foods we ingest. Water also hydrates the skin, preventing drying and premature wrinkling. Note that consuming soda and other drinks does not eliminate the need for water. If you do not like plain water, you can throw in fresh mint or a fresh lemon for flavor.

To maintain a healthy body, you should take a balanced diet. For vitamins, eat fresh fruits and vegetables. For carbohydrates, eat whole grains because processed foods do not have the much needed fiber and it leads to fat accumulation. For proteins, avoid red meat as much as possible – opt for fish and white meat. A balanced diet is important because it leaves you feeling energized and it reduces the risk of obesity. Breakfast should be the biggest portion of the day and you should avoid eating just before sleep. You take many small portions throughout the day to give your body time to process the food and to absorb nutrients.

To maintain your health, you should maintain healthy relationships. The relationships should be supportive and stress free. Healthy relationships are important because they reduce anxiety and they give you a positive outlook. It is no secret that stress has a direct effect on our health. You should avoid stress at your workplace and you should take some time off to do what you love whenever you can. Hangout with pals or rent a comedy whenever you are feeling stressed.

You should exercise regularly to maintain a healthy body. You do not even need to join a gym – simply taking the stairs to your office or walking to work is enough. Joining a gym or exercising is particularly important if you lead a sedentary lifestyle and as you age. Exercise will slow down your body’s physical deterioration, meaning you will age better, it will burn off calories, and it will improve your body image. Your exercising should incorporate aerobics, strength training, and flexibility workouts.

To maintain good health, take in some early morning or late evening sunshine. This gives you the much-needed vitamin D, which is needed if your body is to absorb calcium. The sun is also important in that it releases endorphins from the pituitary gland, which make you feel good and energized. You should floss regularly because brushing your teeth does not remove all the plaque. You should sleep as many hours as possible to give your body and your mind time to rejuvenate. Finally, you should go for regular checkups for early detection of diseases.
